This is where to start if you are just learning about digital cameras and want to get reviews, side by side comparisons, and explanation on features that you need and don’t need. There isn’t a bell or whistle on cameras that isn’t explained or reviewed. They are also one of the first places to get info pre-release of a new camera.

B & H Photo

This is the best (i.e. cheapest and most reliable) place to get photo and video gear. The sales staff is incredibly knowledgeable, they carry every piece of gear for cameras imaginable, have a great used department that buys and sells good quality things, and are about the cheapest place you can find that doesn’t deal in stolen goods =) I strongly suggest you compare the price of anything you buy with these people first.

Digideep

Well now you know about cameras and have bought one. What next? Take it underwater. This site is phenomenal in that it attempts to keep every digital camera currently on the market listed on its website and lists the different options for getting your camera in or near the water. This isn’t just for scuba diving situations. A nice small housing for a point and shoot camera is an excellent choice if you are going to the beach, shooting in a waterfall, or going skiing. Cameras are delicate and need to be protected from the elements. This is the site to find out what options you have for your specific camera.
